New beds

For three years Chase had been sleeping on the bottom bunk in Callie's room. While they both were still doing great Callie was getting a little ready to get her girly room back. We had been storing her bed in the basement. Cole was sleeping great in the crib so I was hesitant to change them. But on the first day of Christmas Break the kids and I headed to mom and dads to bake cookies as we had not been able to do the Saturday before due to grandpa's passing. While we were gone Shannon moved the bunkbeds to the boys room, put Callie's bed back in her room, and for the first time in 10 years took the crib apart to store in the basement. It was an adjustment for everyone. Callie has fallen out of bed the most. Chase is sleeping great on the top bunk and really loves having his own space. he loves taking cole and closing the door playing in their room. The first night: disoriented I believe Cole jumped up as he did in his crib but being on the bottom bunk, he really blonked his head!  I still lay beside Cole  for him to fall asleep and it is much easier to hold his hanny while he falls asleep in the bottom bunk rather than the crib.  Cole is different than the other two in that when he wakes up he comes out on his own. When we first moved the others they would call for us. Cole comes out and closes the door behind him which is nice because the click of the door always wakes me up and alerts me that he is on the loose. Overall it's been an easy transition and they're all loving it.
