Not sure

This picture is on my camera.  I was at work.  Not at all sure.

Cole during his 2nd month

Cole will be 3 months old Wednesday.  Hard to believe.  I need to do better taking pictures lately.  My hands are just always full.  Plus Chase loves to grab the camera so I am keeping it put up more and then don't take the pictures.  I will try to do better.

Cole is eating 4-6 oz every 4 hours during the day.  He doesn't lay down in his crib until almost 11 PM most nights and then usually sleeps till anywhere from 3:30 to 6:30 before he wants to eat.  If it is 3:30 he will go back down after 45min usually and sleep until 6:30-7:00.  But several nights he has just slept until 6ish.  Compared to my other kids this is awesome sleep for us at this point!  He doesn't have a nap schedule at all, just seems to cat nap while held a lot during the day.  But is awake a ton and so alert.  He loves his hands.  Has been chewing on them for while now and has just started to look at them.  He grins a ton and has laughed out loud a few times lately.  After he has been up playing for 1.5 hours or so he gets fussy.  You pick him up and he snuggles in to take a cat nap.  After 30 min or so he gets restless and if you lay him down to play he smiles at you.  This routine happens a lot it seems like.  He loves to follow things.  AND loves his flying mickeys just as much as Chase did.  He is so happy and gets so excited for them.  He has started to drool so much!!!

Comparison

Everyone wants to know who Cole looks like.  I always say I don't know.  He looks familiar but yet has his own look.  Today as I was uploading pictures I decided to go back and compare.  I was shocked at how much he does NOT look like Chase.  More like Connor but still not a ton.  Callie starts with digital pictures at a year old so it is harder to tell.  I will have to take time to get out the actual photos for her.
Cole at 2 months 10 days
Chase at 2 months 13 days
Connor at 2 months 5 days

Callie at 13 months

Farm Show

Even though it was crazy hot Shannon and Chase headed to the farm show.  Although Callie and Chase had been playing outside for over an hour before that so I guess the heat just doesn't bother them as much.  Shannon said Chase had to climb into each tractor or combine, buckle himself in a few times, and then climb/jump down.

Trip to KC

The older two had dentist appointments in KC at 9 AM on July 13th so we decided to make a trip of it while we were there.  Chase had gone to the dentist last year but just for a quick look, they really did nothing else.  He did great but I didn't know about this time.  Last year it was just him when he went and this time they were going together.  Callie of course did great.  So she went first on everything while Chase and I watch.  She never missed a beat so he went right behind her and never missed a beat either.  They each got their teeth cleaned, x-rays, checked by the dentist and florid.  Couldn't have gone any better.  Plus no cavities!!!
Shannon kept Cole in the waiting room and fed him a bottle.  Then we were off to Crown Center.  There was a free Dinosaur Exhibit the kids played on/with.  Then we ate at Fritz's Railroad Restaurant - they had loved it so much before.  After that we headed to Lego Land.  I had tried to buy tickets on line earlier in the week but was too late.  We had to get in the regular line.  IT TOOK 1.5 hours to get in.  Wow!  The kids were great.  They had bowls of legos to play with throughout the line so they liked that.  Shannon held Cole and fed him a bottle.  Chase eventually got into the stroller and fell asleep for awhile.  Lego Land was fun for the kids after we got in.  Then we went to the aquarium which they also loved.
After that we went to Independence Center to meet Mom and Dad.  We ate and went to Build-A-Bear.  Callie had been wanting to make the Octopus.  Chase made another dog!  Cole had Grandma and Grandpa to hold him.
We headed to our hotel and went swimming in their outdoor pool.  The kids had fun showing off their new skills but Chase wore out much quicker than Callie.
They slept good considering.  Chase got up once in the night for milk and then a refill and Cole slept pretty much the same as he would have at home.
Let me back up here.  My back had been hurting in the same old spot the night before we left and then that morning had gone out on me.  I took some meds and powered thru the day but was really hurting and walking terrible as the day wore on.  I totally over pushed myself and then slept on a terrible hotel mattress.  I woke up at 3 AM and could not get out of bed.  My muscles had totally frozen up.  I kinda panicked.  But I had Shannon get me some more meds and let them kick in.  It was Saturday so I couldn't get into anyone back home and Callie so wanted to go to CoCoKey as planned.  My older brother and his family were meeting us there.  My sister-in-law got me into her chiropractor that day.  I was so thankful to her and to him for seeing me.  Shannon and the kids and Dennis's family had fun at CoCo Key and I got to watch them a little.
I went to a new chiropractor at home on Monday and am slowly getting better.
The kids had a great trip at least!

Swim Lessons

Callie looked forward to swim lessons and has LOVED them.  She planned to take all 6 weeks worth at the Y and she did.  We signed Chase up even though he was very young since we were going anyway.  He likes the water so we didn't want to push him and make him scared of it or not like it but thought it would be good for him to be in an organized situation with a teacher, not one of us.  He went the first day but didn't get in.  The second day he got in and wanted immediately back out but before he could get back out decided it was OK as long as Grandma Linda (who takes them Mon-Wed while I work) had her feet in the water for him to hang onto.  He has a belt on so it doesn't matter.  The belt was the big issue at first Linda said - he did NOT want it on.  By Thursday when I took him he was a pro and loving it.  He even jumped in to the teacher.  He liked his teacher, Josh.  After the first two week session he wasn't too sure when the teacher changed and it wasn't Josh but  a girl.  He adjusted fine though.  The first week we didn't know what to do about his ears but called the ENT's office the first of the second week and got some better ear plugs and the band to keep them in.  That worked great - so glad we got it.  We didn't expect him to take them the entire 6 weeks Callie did but he has and loved it!  Callie started the summer in the Polliwogs.  She passed that after the first session and moved to the guppies.  She passed that after the second session and is in the minos class for the third session.  She have improved greatly and is really loving it!  I can't believe how good she has gotten.  She does various strokes across the big Y pool and back all on her own and is learning to dive.  One of the first days she went across all on her own and they stayed at the edge and watched I was thinking she is only 7 and can't touch there!  But she does great and had no problems.  In fact now they go across and back twice.  The lessons are 45 min long and she is going most of it usually - I would be exhausted by the end.

It is harder to get pics of Callie as she is so much further away from me and moves much faster. Chase has required that we remain right by the pools edge where he is.

Here is Friday of the first week.

Then Thursday of the 4th week.
