 One Saturday we headed up to Tom and Alisha's house for the day.  Shannon and Dad helped Tom build fence.  Chase loved all the new boy toys, especially the train stuff.  Callie was in technology heaven with the Wii and the Kindle, especially the Kindle.  Finally in the evening she got into the dress up play with Rylan and Dylan.  It was a great day together.

Here is Callie in the basketball little Raider cheer at halftime of a game.  I was sick that day so Shannon took her but recorded it so Chase and I could watch when they got home.  She did great!

 Our district office is in the back of the JH office.  This year we have a new JH principal (who happens to be one of the teachers Shannon student taught under) who has a little girl in Kindergarten.  Annie and Callie have become after school buddies while they wait for it to be time to go home.  They get out at 3 and I work until 4.  Sometimes it is challenging but they are both good and it is fun to see them together.  They definitely keep the offices entertained.  Most afternoons if the conference room is free I put them in there with the TV on the disney channel, snacks, and whatever toys they have brought for the day.  They are set.  Below though you can see one of their most recent endeavors.  With the warmer weather I have had some ants wonder around on my window seal.  They set tape traps and are so excited to catch them.  I let them keep the trap up for a couple days but now it is down.  Although they are still trying to randomly catch them.  Whatever entertains them I guess.

 Callie received Honorable Mention for her young author's book for her class at the school assembly.  We had discussed beforehand that while she won a medal last year she might not this year and to be a gracious winner or a gracious not-winner ;-)  She didn't seem to care too much, she was just excited to get her book back all bound and ready to show off.  And she wanted her friend to win who didn't last year and really really wanted to this year.  Both of them won awards!  She loves to write and writing these books has really inspired her to write books all the time at home.  We have several interesting stapled books at home!

She told me that morning that her headband kept falling down - guess he wasn't kidding - should have taken it off of her.

Chase is a mama's boy, except when it comes to getting to go outside with Daddy.  It is too cute to watch him follow Shannon all over.  When it was colder he would go down to the pond with Shannon and stay in the truck.  He loves to sit in the truck and drive and Shannon would set a brush pile on fire and he loved that.  Now that it is warmer he follows right behind him.  The little wheelbarrow is getting a work out.

 John and Linda scored this new in box fire truck from a sale.  Chase will soon outgrow it but with the baby on the way it will definitely get used.  For now the fact that you can fill it up with water and shoot it out the hose makes it a big hit for both kids.  They are loving it.

While I think we have finally convinced Chase that there are not two babies in my tummy (one for him and one for Callie) he still has some confusion. He doesn't want a baby brother, just a baby.  When I asked him if the baby would be a boy like him or a girl like Callie, he said a boy like him.

Chase still loves to have me bump his back while he is going to sleep.  For some reason we regressed to coming in to Max's spot in the night so we are back working to break that again.  Two nights now he has slept all night so maybe some progress, who knows though.

Callie came home from school one day all excited about two things - she had gotten her March lunch menu AND....
it had a whole week off of school in March for spring break
when March was over it would be time to get the April menu and that meant BABY time.

She told me that the next time I had a baby, she knew I probably wouldn't but if I did, to not tell her until it was time :-)  This waiting is hard!
