We got out the decorations the weekend before Thanksgiving. I admit the day was not going as I had planned/envisioned and I had to fight off the grumps. But once we got going I couldn't help but smile as they were so excited. Chase ran to get his stool so he could reach higher and Callie was signing the entire time. It was so cute. They really did a great job decorating the tree. Chase clumped some ornaments up right at first and Callie corrected him and spread them out and after that they both did great. I didn't even have to adjust anything after they went to bed!!! Callie wanted to "make" a craft ornament so she went off to the kitchen to get her crafts out. Chase soon followed and she was good to let me participate too. I decorated the fireplace while they "crafted". Cole was happy in his exersaucer most of the time.

This is from a later night when I thought we could get a good photo. Poor Callie was so into it. Chase was watching the TV and Cole didn't know what to think. Add to that that I can't seem to keep from having blurry photos so far with this camera and this is the best it got before one or two of them were done!
Cole just wanted to stand up and Chase just wanted to dance.

The Wednesday of Thanksgiving break we had nothing and it was so nice. The weather out was wonderful so Cole and I went on a walk on the road while the big kids went with Daddy on a nature walk/exploring. On Thursday, we went to the Montee side at John and Linda's house for lunch and then to Mom and Dad's for the afternoon/evening. Once Tom and Dennis's families left, my parents packed up with us to head home. Mom and I went to Fort Scott Walmart for the 8PM sales. We did great and had a good experience. However do not get me started on WHY they can't just wait until the early morning hours on Friday to do this. This whole all night thing is ruining it for me. We headed to our house to put the kids to bed then back to my parents to sleep before getting up and going shopping on Friday. Since most all the specials were in the middle of the night we really just had a good day shopping. We went early to get to all the stores before their early birds went off. Mom and I had a great day. And I got a lot of my shopping done. On a funny note we were talking and laughing away and missed our Mound City exit, I noticed the Bourbon County sign so we took a scenic route home. Saturday we ran to the Underwood side at Ann's house for lunch.
This is a great picture I think and shows all the kids playing in the bath together. However I am weird and not sure when is too old for these pics to be cute/appropriate so I cut out Callie for this post. Cole loves his bath and to splash and laugh at Chase and Callie. I wash them all then Callie gets out and I get Cole out. Chase stays and I think could play for hours.
Some funny Chase sayings:
The frost on the ground is frosting.
The caboose on the train is the cabooster - we think this might be from Brooster on Chugginton?
When he first learned the word delicious he used it more for good than good tasting. Cole had a lot of mucus and I was suctioning him out. He wasn't liking it and Chase ran to his rescue covering his nose so I couldn't do it - he told me what i was doing to Cole's nose was not delicious.
He picked up "for pity's sake" from LInda and it is hilarious.
He says RIDICULOUS and it cracks us up.
Those are the ones I can think of for now. I'm sure there is more.
Oh and it still appears that Santa is HOHO again this year.
